Many youth group members attend Camp Deer Run during the summer
where they enjoy a week of faith-centered, fun-filled week of
fellowship while learning daily from God’s word.
Camp Deer Run is located in the beautiful oak and pine forest
of North East Texas. Since its beginning in 1958, the camp has
primarily been a Christian summer youth camp. With continual
facility improvement the camp has now become a functional year-round
group rental site.
Camp Deer Run prides itself in being not only a fun summer
experience, but mainly a camp that brings youth into a Christ-like
atmosphere. The camp devotes its summers to the children so
that they might, through it, see Jesus. The primary goal is
to point the campers to God in hopes that they will come to
know Him and make a commitment to Him that will have a life
changing, long-term impact on their lives. The camp would
also like to form a partnership with churches, families, and
individuals in an effort to work together in this mission.
For over 40 years, Camp Deer Run has continued to entertain,
educate, enlighten, and bless those who enter its gates.
Camp Deer Run is a non-profit, non-denominational camp and
retreat facility supported and operated primarily by members
of churches of Christ.
